On 29 September, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) published the 2017 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods; along with, the 2017 Summary of Major Modifications and Explanatory Notes.

The List, which is one of five International Standards that are mandatory for all Signatories of the World Anti-Doping Code (Code),designates what substances and methods are prohibited both in- and out-of-competition and which substances are banned in particular sports.

It is VERY IMPORTANT that competing athletes and their coaches and team leaders in ALL divisions of our sport know about this list.

IWWF is communicating this to athletes and entourage via all our direct communication channels.

While, ultimately, the athlete is responsible for knowing what substances and methods are on the List and for the substances in his or her body; let’s make sure that we do everything we can in this regard to help keep them clean.
