Skiers from Belarus (BLR) dominated the final day of the 2018 IWWF World Cableski Championships held at Sentosa Cable Park in Dnipro, Ukraine.

Katsiaryna Kisialiova (BLR), Maria Beliakova (BLR) and Hanna Straltsova won the gold, silver and bronze medals respectively in the women’s trick event.  Likewise in men’s tricks, Stsiapan Shpak (BLR), Aliaksandr Mikhailou (BLR) and Nikita Papakul (BLR) won gold, silver and bronze.

IWWF Cableskier of the Year Hanna Straltsova (BLR) won the women’s jump gold medal with a 48.2 metre jump followed by Irina Turets (BLR) 48.7 metres and Julia Meier-Gromyko (BLR) 43.3 metres.

In the men’s jump final, the dominant male cableskier of the IWWF Cableski Worlds, Stsiapan Shpak (BLR) kicked the longest jump of the competition 65.1 metres to win the gold medal, followed by Kamil Borysewicz (POL) 64.4 metres and Alexander Vasko (SVK) 64.2 metres .

Before the final event of the day IWWF President Jose Antonio Perez Priego, an accomplished senior division slalom skier, tried cableskiing and ran a full pass through the slalom course, as the forerunner for the men’s and women’s slalom finals.

Bianca Schall (AUT) won the gold medal in women’s slalom with a score 4 buoy on the 12 metre line, followed by Irina Turets (BLR) 3 buoy on the 12 metre line and Aviv Ativ (ISR) 3 buoys on the 12 metre line.

In men’s slalom, Nadav  (ISR) won the gold medal in spectacular fashion scoring 2 buoys on a very short 9.75 metre rope length, ahead of Or Shinuk (ISR) and David Bodingbauer (AUT) who both scored 3 buoys on the 10.75 metre rope length (Or taking second with a better preliminary round score)

Stsiapan Shpak (BLR), having won men’s trick and jump, and Straltsova Hanna (BLR), having won women’s jump and getting onto the podium in women’s tricks, won the individual overall gold medals.

Team Belarus won the gold in the Team Overall event with 8713.20 points, way ahead of Slovakia 6978.28 points and Germany 6696.39 points.

The event was live streamed on both days, Saturday and Sunday.
