IWWF European & African Senior Waterski Championships Kicks Off In Germany This Week

The 2018 IWWF European & African Over 35 (Senior) Waterski Championships kicks off in Halle, Germany this Thursday with over 90 skiers from 22 countries competing for regional titles.

The event will be organised by German Waterski & Wakeboard Federation in cooperation with local club WSC Hufeisensee Halle at Lake Hufeisensee, a natural lake located around the City of Halle (Saale). The club has a history of organising big events.

About the IWWF:  The International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) is the world governing body for towed watersports and has 91 affiliated Federations worldwide. It was founded in 1946 in Geneva, Switzerland. It is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the sole authority for towed watersports. The IWWF is an affiliate member of the Association of IOC Recognized International Sports Federation (ARISF) and the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF).
