IWWF Signs 4-Year Collaboration Convention with International University Sports Federation (FISU)
 
IWWF President, Jose Antonio Perez Priego, today  signed a 4-Year Collaboration Convention with International University Sports Federation (FISU). The Collaboration Convention is a renewable 4-year agreement that officially lays out the framework and provides the guidelines for all areas of cooperation between the two organizations.
 
3-event waterskiing has been an official FISU Sport since 2004. Wakeboard will be added, as a 4th discipline, beginning with the 2020 FISU World University Championships, to be held in Dnipro, Ukraine (http://iwwf.sport/2020-fisu-world-university-waterski-and-wakeboard-championships-to-be-held-in-dnipro-ukraine/)
FISU, founded in 1949, is the World Governing Body of University Sports. With a membership consisting of over 170 National University Sports Federations it is one of the largest governing bodies in the world. As part of the agreement, “, FISU undertakes to facilitate IWWF programmes that promote knowledge and the practice of IWWF in the universities, and among FISU member associations. IWWF undertakes to implement the necessary means to promote University Sports and FISU activities among its member associations. ”
