IWWF World Wakeboard Championships ::: Day 1

IWWF World Wakeboard Championships Buenos Aires – Argentina (18-24/03/2018)
DAY 1- 17^th March 2018 – OPENING CEREMONY

The IWWF World Wakeboard Championships kicked off yesterday with the Opening Ceremony at Puerto Escobar, in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina with the musical band of the Argentinian Navy making a grand entrance playing the national anthem. Jorge Renosto, President of the Argentinian Federation, delivered an emotional speech, highlighting Argentina hosting its first IWWF World Titled event. The Opening Ceremony was brought to a close by a very entertaining tango performance, Argentina’s most famous dance.

This competition will see 26 countries with 129 riders battling for IWWF world individual and team titles. The Centurion Ri237, making its debut towing an IWWF World Wakeboard Championships for the first time, is already receiving rave reviews during practice.

Organised by the Federaçion Argentina De Esqui y Wakeboard and sanctioned by the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (IWWF), live results will be available throughout the event.
