Scorching sunshine, 30C temperatures with virtually no wind, made this a perfect day for JUNIOR MOOMBA to hit the headlines. Here are just a few photos of the action and the super-stars who have just arrived for the “grown-ups” MOOMBA MASTERS tomorrow, Friday, through Monday evening. The standard set by the Juniors this year was extraordinary. Young 17 year-old Anna Gay USA did the impossible by setting a new Tricks Course Record for both the Juniors and Open Trickers. 10,440 points is now the new Yarra River best ever ! Many congrats to Anna and lets see what might happen in the Open event this weekend ! The other great news is the “arrival” of Argentina. The past World Overall Champion, Javier Julio, has made it his mission to put his country on the Waterski World map – and he is succeeding. Today, his students Tobias Giorgis ARG and Ignacio Giorgis ARG dominated the Junior Overall event. Following his superb Tricks event in the recent Junior World Championships, also today, Patricio Font MEX took Junior Moomba Gold in both Tricks and Slalom. Congrats to Pato Font. Watch our for Mexico and Argentina on the big stage in the years ahead:)
