The world of Wakeboarding was shocked and saddened this week at the sad loss of Kentaro Terada, an outstanding supporter of the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (IWWF)
Born in Osaka, Japan, in 1969, Kentaro Terada was Chairman of the Japanese Wakeboard Association. Apart from his impressive achievements as an athlete, his distinguished career as an International wakeboard judge included IWWF World Cup Stops in Linyi, China, IWWF World Wakeboard Championships in Cancun, Mexico, Asian Beach Games in Phuket, Thailand, South East Asian Games in Singapore and IWWF Asian Waterski & Wakeboard Championships in Korea.
Kentaro Terada made a significant impact on two major sports – Wakeboarding and Snowboarding. His 25-year involvement in Wakeboard and his 28-year involvement in Snowboard, showed all that his passion to encourage and inspire young athletes in both disciplines commanded both respect and admiration from all who were fortunate enough to know him.
