As the sun baked the corn fields of Central Wisconsin on day five of the 2016 World Barefoot Waterski Championships, athletes were setting the water on fire with some record-breaking performances.
David Small of Great Britain set a pending world record of 13,150 points in the semi-final round of Open Mens Tricks. Small, the four-time Mens World Overall Champion, also set a pending world record of 13,300 points in the preliminary round earlier in the week. It has been an incredible month for Small. He also set a pending world record of 14,150 on August 6 at the U.S. Barefoot National Championships. Small holds the current world record of 12,150 which he set back in 2010.

Tom Heaps GBR

Tom Heaps of Great Britain set a Junior World Jump Record of 26.7 meters in the Junior Boys Jump Finals. Heaps, who competes in both the Junior and Open divisions had tied the Junior World Record of 26.3 meters earlier in the week. The record was set by Andre DeVilliers of South Africa back in 2004.
